Think Outside The "Norm" For Your Valentine

This is the month to celebrate you and your loved one. So where will you take him/her in the Columbus area? Already book your reservations? What is your favorite place to dine or sight see? According to Columbus Underground, some of the top cities in Columbus to visit are: Olde Towne East, Franklinton, Victorian Village, and of course the infamous, Short North.

You might think the popular places are the large mall locations, such as, Polaris or Easton Town Center, but people are beginning to flock to the locations in Columbus that offer a lot to do and an array of history to enjoy. For example, want to listen to some jazz? Check out the King Lincoln District where multiple jazz musicians have performed in this historic buildings. Looking for a one-of-a-kind art piece? Check out the many art shops in the Short North.

Not only can you find immense history within these areas but you will be able to find renovated buildings or beautiful, new, and modern developments. For example, Woods Development Group, LLC, has renovated the historical and beautiful Theresa Building, located in the King Lincoln District. The Theresa Building is now home to many new and fun companies (that will help with your valentine day ideas), such as: a flower shop, real estate firm, and soon a bakery.

These areas are vastly growing within Columbus and offer a variety of local products. Want to go get a delicious Italian dinner, head to Victorian Villages Basi Itali, then drive on over to Olde Towne East for some frozen yogurt at 39 Below FroYo. So ditch the “norm” and take your loved one through a tour of Columbus’s beautiful and historical locations.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
