Is Columbus Ready for Mika's Cupcakes & Creams?

Mika’s Cupcakes and Creams, LLC. (Mika’s) announced its soon to be opening location two weeks ago on East Long Street – near the King-Lincoln District and just a couple of blocks away from The Lincoln Theatre and King Arts Complex.

Owner and Founder, Tamika Woods plans to open Mika’s Cupcakes and Creams next Spring 2016 at 821 E. Long Street, first floor of the Theresa Building.

Mrs. Woods has incorporated her most favorable hobby into her lifetime career. The bakery began when Tamika was a young girl who loved eating cakes and was inspired while watching the process of baking. She has been baking since childhood and using her secret recipes. From baking inside her home in Columbus, OH to owning her shop, Woods is living her dream.

"My love for baking and eating buttercream icing inspired me to share this special treat with others. The art of cake decorating soon became a reality. After taking several classes and making cakes for all occasions for friends and family, my hobby was now my new career."

Mrs. Woods said her shop would include fresh ingredients and a variety of flavors and fillings such as peanut butter crunch, smore’s, strawberry cheesecake, lemon, and cookie dough. There will be convenient made to order for those who are sensitive to nuts, and allergy containments.

The menu has more than just cupcakes. Due to the array of desserts many can venture off into different delicious treats. For instance: cake pops, brownies, cookies, cheesecakes, and gourmet cakes. The bakery specializes in five key areas, which are: birthday & celebrations, wedding & anniversaries, gourmet & classic cupcakes, cheesecake & pies, and lastly cake pops.

Coffee will also be offered during business hours for a café, start-up and sit-down ambiance.

Mika's Cupcakes and Creams shop's grand opening will be next year of Spring 2016 with business hours from Tuesday through Saturday at 9a.m. to 5p.m.
